With just a few weeks to go before the latest additions to the Wood Bros accent chairs and compact sofas collection hit the stores, the Wood Bros marketing team are hard at work, creative juices flowing, producing the imagery that will go to make up the marketing materials for stockists and customers alike.

The location for the shoot is a drafty old 18th century laundry in the back streets of Hackney in London. The minimalist venue, with exposed brick walls, provided the perfect backdrop for the production team to create the mood we were looking for.
An early start was had by all, and with a very ambitious “shot list”, it was always going to be a challenge to get the job done but the multi-talented Wood Bros team had it all under control. From setting up the ‘rum shack’, to flower arranging, hanging plants and of course moving furniture in and out of shot, it all ran like a well oiled machine.
As we were shooting the new accent chairs and compact sofas, showing our lovely Moon wools, we were looking to capture the texture of the new lines and wools as well as the beautiful hand tailoring of the designs.

Halfway through and well on track our talented photographic team, James and Paul, take a well earned rest and cuppa while waiting for the next scene to be set up. “As with any photo shoot of this nature, there can be a lot of hanging around while the scenes are set up”, observes Paul, “but the Wood Bros team are consummate professional at this and know exactly what they are looking to achieve and have planned out each scene, so we really get onto a roll and work very fast and efficiently indeed”. “Once the scene is set, it’s then up to us as the photographers to get the angle and lighting just right in order to capture the perfect shot!”
As the light fades and the last of the shots are in the bag, an exhausted team starts packing up for the journey back to base. With several hundred images captured the team must now select a handful of the best photographs that will be cropped, edited and prepared for use in the next phase of the marketing process.
All in all a very successful day with some super shots!
