Welcome spring styling into your home

After the coldness and dark evenings that winter brought, spring offers a refreshing change. The days will get gradually longer and warmer as dull gardens brightly come to life once more. Don’t leave the bright, fresh feelings outside though – bring them into your home. It’s really easy to do and you’ll find your space feels much more welcoming for it – spring styling.

Spring Clean

Spring Styling, it is a time for new things – new flowers, budding trees and new life. Have a spring clean to prepare your home for spring and feel the difference. Donate your old clothes to a charity shop, hold a boot sale or recycle. Clean every part of the house, and deep clean the parts that have been forgotten about – the oven, the backs of the cupboards, the cobwebs in the corners.

Fresh flowers

Brightly coloured tulips, daffodils and other flowers bring a welcome splash of colour to any home. They can be used as a centrepiece on a dining table, or a window display. The scent of spring will spread throughout your home so your guests use all their senses!

Spring Styling with Light, pastel colours

Let the light into your home with some lighter colours. Pinks, greens, yellows and blues are all spring colours that can bring calm and tranquillity. Use the colours on curtains, rugs, tablecloths, bed sheets, scatter cushions or vases to provide beautiful spring accents throughout a room.

Pictures and art

Perhaps its time to update your photo wall, or maybe you just want to hang something up in that big empty space. Pictures of flowers or floral patterns are a beautiful spring addition that really brings the outside in. It doesn’t even have to be a photograph – try some art from a local painter, or if you’re brave enough have a go yourself!
I like to frame old sheet music with bright covers – it makes for a unique item and a great talking point. You can also frame fabrics, cross-stitch projects, wallpaper or pressed flowers. The possibilities are endless!

It Makes Scents

Air fresheners or diffusers come in a variety of fragrances. Pop one in the most used rooms of your home to bring a beautiful spring smell to the air, whether it be roses, fresh linen or cherry blossom. Lavender is also popular, and really helps you to relax. As you can see you can play with lots of different Spring Styles, show us yours.
