Our fabric correspondent, Elly, gives us a quick autumn trend update:
The WB design team attended the recently launched Autumn Fabric Fair at Manchester’s Old Trafford Stadium a couple of weeks back.
New collections across the board made a bold statement with stunning plains, textured and patterned velvets in a variety of qualities. Autumnal hues are still going strong and the trend for earthy tones, blush pinks and coral continues into the end of the year. Equally strong are eye catching shades of green from teal, emerald to indigo.
On display at Warwick was a variety of collections specializing in ‘texture’. From faux leather, microfibre, basket weave to fur! All in a sophisticated monochrome palette.
The show was well attended and the stunning Manchester venue made a
welcome change from hiking over to Brussels!
