Wool Week

We are currently in the middle of the 9th annual Wool Week, held by The Campaign for Wool. Wool week, which runs from 8th-21st October, features many and varied events centred around wool, such as wool care, crafts with yarn and wool, workshops and more. All of these events help to educate people on the uses and benefits of wool. There are many types of wool too; merino wool, alpaca, mohair, angora and many more.

The Campaign for Wool began in 2010 with an event in Savile Row, London, with more than 100 companies taking part in Wool Week. The campaign is a collaborative initiative which involves farmers, textile manufacturers, designers and artisans all over the world. It is funded by some of the largest trade wool textile organisations. Wool week celebrates retailer collaborations featuring interactive pop-up events and a series of craft workshops all over the UK.

We use Harris Tweed and Abraham Moon & Sons wools on our upholstery, both of which are 100% wool. They are comfortable, breathable, and look simply beautiful!
